Just gotten off the phone to a friend. She's married to an abusive idiot, who has just gotten out of a psychiatric hospital, and is going back to live in the house with her and the kids.
Why are there idiots like this out there?

Could write a book on this one - but-:
a) perhaps she stillloves him and hopes for a brighter future
b) may rely on him financially
c) feel sorry for him - mental illness?
d) took her marriage vows seriously - till death etc
e) she's a woman - and men will never fully understand us!!
Could you try befriending him and help her in that way?-

Well, no to a, and c. There is some financial reliance; d - she's too sensible. Anyhoo, he's no longer going to move back in, which is a relief for all concerned

it seems to me that the system cares more about the rights of the criminals in this world than those of the victims. It's all screwed up.
